Signs Follow Those Who Believe
While doing some research for today’s post I was not surprised to see that signs of the times is a highly searched key phrase right now. People are searching for answers to questions regarding the future in terms of biblical events, the Mayan calendar, the comet Elenin and a host of other things that are adding to the generation of worry and concern on a planet that appears less than stable.
Your Words And Thoughts Have ONLY The Power You Give Them! Are You Creating The Signs Of The Times By Believing In Stories Like This?
There have been several signs of the times that have lead to the creation of this blog post, but perhaps not in the same manner as you were thinking in regards to signs of the times when you plugged that term, or something close to it, into Google or a major search engine today. While there are signs of the times from a biblical or prophetic standpoint, there are also signs of the times in YOUR LIFE in your walk IN Christ everyday. There are signs of growth. There are signs that you are on the right path.
Signs are spoken of at length throughout the Bible. God teaches that signs will follow those who believe. The Bible teaches that it is a wicked and sinful generation that seeks a sign and that no sign will be given to the generation that seeks first the signs. Search results for signs at BibleGateway.com
For those who walk by faith and not by sight, signs will follow you. Over the years, working in different facets of ministry, I have seen this happen over and over again. One of the first signs I was shown, regarding a right path, was while working with the homeless in Phoenix, Arizona. While I was driving one afternoon a homeless man sleeping under a shade tree grabbed my attention. I was compelled to take him something to eat so I followed the Voice and pulled into the closest parking lot. I don’t remember why, but for some reason I walked to the front of the car before heading over to take this man something to eat. It was here that I received one of the signs of the times as it pertained to my life at that time. On the yellow concrete parking bunker, in front of the drivers side tire, there was a word, in all capital letters, written in that bunker as if someone had written their name is wet cement. The word was REX, my first name. Coincidence? Not when you are on the right path.
In recent weeks this has been happening more and more. As signs of the times continue to be a point of discussion on TV in reference to the alleged “end of the world”, God has been showing me that I am on the right path with business as well. While working door to door meeting potential local clients, recently, I was directed to a new tattoo shop here in town. God showed me, right from the start, that this was a job He wanted me to do. Most notably, at first, a host of scripture references came to mind in regards to this job, the most prevalent of which was from Luke 18 and the Parable of the Persistent Widow. Persistence being the key sign from this reference.
What are the signs of the times of Christ in your life?
It wasn’t long before I started to receive visual signs. The first of which is shown here on the left. This image shows a tattoo someone received from this shop with my last name of Harris. No, this is not my tattoo. I don’t have any. This was one more sign of confirmation, a sign of the times I was experiencing in my walk in Christ. It didn’t stop there.
To put this in perspective, these were images posted on the Facebook page for this particular tattoo shop. There was no prior knowledge of these tattoos or those who have them. Also note that I have never had a conversation with the shop owner regarding these tattoos or any of the tattoos on their Facebook page, for that matter.
Signs Follow Those Who Believe
The next image is an image of a tattoo that is a direct reference to book I am studying by John Randolph Price entitled “The Jesus Code.” These three words have been the overlying theme of my spiritual studies over the last three months.
Amazing and wonderful things happen when we “seek first the Kingdom.” Follow the voice of God within and make all of your decisions in partnership with God. Paul said in Galatians 2:20 “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live but Christ who lives in me.” Listen to the voice of Christ because His mind is your mind once you have made the decision to listen to Him exclusively.

Rex, what an amazing post! Funny how if we open ourselves to truly SEE, God easily speaks to us!
God has laid out all the signs we need to follow in our journey. Our challenge each day is to remove the blinders that prevent us from seeing the signs. I believe the more we are able to focus on our own spirituality and the more we take action with the intent to do the right thing, the easier it becomes to remove our blinders and see the signs.
